Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our Client Accounting team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in preparing management accounts, resolving complex accountancy issues, and overseeing a team of Junior Accountants.
Job responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, building and maintaining strong relationships through regular communication and exceptional service.
- Prepare management accounts, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to clients on their financial performance, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with clients to develop and implement financial strategies and solutions tailored to their specific needs and objectives.
- Lead and manage the month-end and year-end close processes for client accounts, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Resolve complex accounting issues and technical challenges, leveraging your expertise and knowledge to provide effective solutions.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance, training, and support to foster their professional growth and development.
Qualifications, skills and attributes
- Fully qualified or in the final stages of completing the ACCA qualification.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite especially Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Previous experience in a similar role will be an advantage.
- Highly proficient in preparing and delivering accurate management accounts.
