Job Description
The Junior Finance Associate will have the main responsibility for the management of a portfolio of client accounts. This position also involves supporting the team in bank reconciliations, payment postings and any general accounting duties as required.
Your challenge:
- General daily accounting duties such as posting incoming and related support tasks
- Compilation of monthly bank account reconciliations
- Performing day-to-day financial transactions, including posting and recording accounting data
- Reconciliation of the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted and resolution of discrepancies and clients’ issues
- Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients
- Compiling correct data for invoicing, chasing clients for monthly figure breakdowns and updating figures accordingly
The Junior Finance associate may also have the responsibility to:
- Perform day-to-day management of payment cycle activities and keep track, process and reconcile payments and expenditures, including invoices, statements, etc, in compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Liaise internally with teams and external suppliers
- Liaise with accountants with respect to accruals and cash flow analysis and forecasting
- Maintain a record of prepayments and capitalisations, including maintenance of fixed asset register

- 1+ years of previous experience in a financial position
- Advanced working knowledge of Excel
