Job Description

We are currently seeking a Merchandiser (luxury brands) to join our team.

As a Merchandiser (luxury brands) for Bluerock operations, your role is integral to the success of our retail operations. You will handle developing and executing merchandising strategies to maximize sales, optimize inventory levels, and enhance the overall customer experience across multiple product categories.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement merchandising strategies to drive sales and profitability for the multi-brand stores, in alignment with company goals and brand standards.
  • Collaborate with buying and marketing teams to develop assortment plans, product pricing strategies, and promotional activities.
  • Analyse sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product assortment optimization and expansion.
  • Manage product assortments and inventory levels, ensuring appropriate stock levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess inventory and stockouts.
  • Plan and execute product launches, seasonal promotions, and visual merchandising initiatives to drive customer engagement and enhance the overall shopping experience.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends to identify emerging opportunities and threats, informing merchandising strategies and assortment decisions.
  • Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships, negotiating favourable terms and ensuring prompt delivery of merchandise.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between merchandising strategies and marketing campaigns, promotions, and sales initiatives.
  • Provide regular reports and analysis on sales performance, inventory levels, and merchandising effectiveness to key stakeholders.

Qualifications and experiences:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in merchandising or retail buying within the fashion or consumer goods industry, with a strong understanding of merchandising principles and strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyse sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to inform merchandising decisions.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for product trends, aesthetics, and consumer preferences.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
