Job Description

This position calls for an Accounts Associate / Junior Accountant responsible for the day-to-day accounts processing and reconciliations. This position will report directly to the Director – Accounting and Finance Control (based in Iceland) with a dotted line manager in Malta for any Malta-related affairs.

In line with the continued expansion of the Group’s operations, we have two open positions for Accounts Associate / Junior Accountant based in Malta to join the Group’s Finance team handling the accounting for all Alvotech entities around the world (e.g. Iceland, Germany, Switzerland, US, UK, India and Malta).

Responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Handling posting of invoices, expense reports and receipts
  • Supporting in general bookkeeping duties
  • Preparing regular intercompany reconciliations
  • Maintaining mutual e-mail boxes
  • Posting general ledgers
  • AP and GL reconciliations
  • VAT reports
  • Financial reports
  • Other ad hoc accounting tasks

Qualifications, Experience and Requirements

  • Possess an A’ level standard in Accounting
  • University / ACCA qualification (or equivalent), even in the early stages, will be highly regarded
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an accounting role is highly advantageous
  • Experience in using SAP software will be considered an asset
  • Comfortable in using and exploring accounting software
  • Proficient and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Be fluent in English

  • Ability to work and meet deadlines
  • Must be organized and possess a good attention to detail
  • Ability to build good working relationships with stakeholders with remote locations having different time zones
  • A person with a positive attitude and a can-do approach encouraging positive team spirit
