Job Description
As part of the company’s growth, Abertax Quality Ltd, a leading worldwide manufacturer of battery accessories, are seeking to engage a senior electronics technician to support the R&D department and the electronics manufacturing plant within the Mosta Technopark.
Responsibilities
The main responsibilities include:
- Assisting to the R&D department in the design and development of new and existing electronic products;
- Designing and developing test jigs as part of the migration of new products into production;
- Assisting the electronics production section with engineering know-how;
- Aiding in the purchase and maintenance of the R&D laboratory equipment and test equipment.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should ideally:
- Possess an MQF level 4 qualification in a Technical / Engineering related subject or equivalent;
- Have a working knowledge of PCB design CAD systems;
- Be able to build and test electronic circuits;
- Be familiar with testing of electronic products during R&D phases and production;
- Be familiar with the development of test jigs for end-of-line and performance testing of electronic products;
- Familiarity with embedded programming and software programming will be considered an asset.
