  • The voice of leadership: how leaders inspire, influence and achieve results
  • Develop/evaluate your personal leadership skills
  • Develop a value-based culture around you
  • Establish inclusion and embrace diversity at work
  • How to communicate to establish leadership and credibility
  • Explore the challenges of initiating and implementing change
  • Categorize the challenges that arise and identify specific problems for initiators, implementers, and recipients of change
  • Recognize and address behavioural patterns generated by change/crisis among team members
  • Examine change processes and the generated psychological and organisational issues that might cause people’s resistance
  • Reasons why change initiatives can fail: identify the factors of successful change and how to deal with resistance
  • Communication tools to successfully implement change
  • Keeping people’s focus on clear goals and performance during change/crisis
  • Manage stress at a group level
  • Keeping empowerment and motivation high during crisis and change
  • Define Emotional Intelligence (EQ)
  • Identify the benefits of encouraging an environment of emotional intelligence in the workplace
  • Learn the core skills required to practice emotional intelligence
  • Define and practice self-management, self-awareness, self-regulation, self-motivation and empathy
  • Interpret, manage, regulate and gain control of emotions
  • Articulate emotions using the right language
  • Balance optimism and pessimism
  • Communicate with EQ
  • Effectively impact others using verbal and non-verbal communication, defined by EQ, such as creating rapport with empathy and with no blame, no judgement and no humiliation
  • Relate emotional intelligence to the workplace and productivity
  • Have an understanding of how difficult people think, what they fear, why they do and what they do
  • Reduce the frustration of dealing with difficult people by practising awareness, managing expectations and setting boundaries instead of unwillingly worsening the conflict
  • Communicate with difficult people (how-you-do-it techniques)
  • Know when to go to a third party for help in dealing with a problem person
  • Determine if a difficult relationship is worth salvaging, and what to do if it isn't
