We are seeking to employ a motivated and energetic person with leadership skills and qualities to join our team that provides operational support and project related activities to the Ministry for Health. The health team works on a number of core applications used by clinicians within the public health service, including the laboratory information system, radiology and picture archiving and communications system, clinical manager, business intelligence tools, myHealth, and systems integration, as well as new projects planned for implementation by the ministry for health such as the converge.
Forming part of the MITA Health Team, the primary role of the leader will be to direct and lead a team of technical people to carry out support activities and projects in accordance to MITA policies that meet our client’s business requirements.
The person we are looking for must have a strong application background, be technically competent, and possess very good documentation and communication skills to be able to work with our suppliers and various clients to deliver the necessary support services and projects.
The position is a challenging role for a person who is self motivated, has an excellent attention for detail, and is able to think out of the box. It will provide the right applicant with an opportunity to work on large scale systems operated by over 5,000 users, and will deliver rewards and career progression to the right applicant.
The necessary on-the job training will be provided to the selected candidate.
The MITA Health Team operates from the MITA Office at the Mater Dei Hospital.
Eligible candidates must hold either of the following qualifications and / or experience in an ICT related area:
- A qualification (MQF level 7 OR higher)or;
- A qualification (MQF level 6) and an additional one year experience or;
- A qualification (MQF level 5) and an additional three years experience or;
- A qualification (MQF level 4) and an additional four years experience or;
- Five years experience in a related area.
Candidates qualifications, experience and competencies will be assessed in line with the agency’s career progression framework. Successful candidates may be engaged at either the standard level – career level 4 or the senior level – career level 5.
