Job Description

Fenech & Fenech Advocates is a leading multi-disciplinary law firm with a predominantly international clientele, providing tailored legal services across all practice areas.

The firm is seeking to recruit highly motivated lawyers to work within its Tax and Immigration Law department.

The firm’s Tax and Immigration Law team is the oldest such dedicated legal team amongst the major law firms in Malta and has been providing a comprehensive tax service in house to its largely international clientele for several decades now.  Our team of specialised lawyers provides personalised, results driven advice to the department’s extensive corporate and private clientele, providing both legal and practical support to clients wishing to operate in Malta or make Malta their home.  The team is also regularly involved in advising on firm briefs across a range of practice areas, such as M&A transactions and asset finance, as well as advising clients involved in tax disputes with the local Revenue. Working together with the firm’s Fenlex Group Tax Compliance team, the Team provides clients with a ‘one stop shop’ tax and immigration law service.

We are looking to recruit a lawyer to join our team of lawyers within our Tax and Immigration Law department.  The successful candidate will have excellent career growth prospects, the opportunity for continuing professional development and exposure to clients in the middle market and multinational sectors.  The firm will provide appropriate on-going and on the job training.

We are also looking to recruit graduate lawyers who have a keen interest in the taxation field as trainee lawyers.

The ideal candidates will:

  • Be highly motivated and ambitious
  • Have strong interpersonal and people skills
  • Be a team player
  • Have strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Be able to communicate confidently and effectively
  • Have a results-focused approach, including an element of commercial appreciation
  • Work under pressure and to tight deadlines, where required

A tax law degree and/or previous work experience in taxation will be considered an asset.

An attractive remuneration and benefits package that is commensurate with the applicant’s experience and qualifications will be offered to the chosen candidate.
