Job Description
We are a four-star superior resort located in a unique area at the heart of the island within the beautiful landscape of Wied Għollieqa, a nature reserve in Kappara.
Currently, our restaurant is looking to welcome on board a motivated and customer-oriented Restaurant Supervisor to ensure that all restaurant and bars operations run smoothly. This position is being offered on a full-time basis. The selected applicant will assist the restaurant manager in directing and organizing the restaurant and bars’ team members to ensure that our guests have a memorable experience through exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pro-actively manage the day-to-day restaurant, bars and in-room dining operation in the absence of the Restaurant Manager
- Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks
- Ensure that checklists and requisitions are completed efficiently
- Coordinate and monitor that functions run in a professional manner
- Observe performance and encourage improvement where necessary
- Ensure staffing levels for all outlets are accurately based on events and occupancy levels
- Communicate and move throughout the restaurant, bars, and kitchen areas to visually monitor and take actions to ensure food quality and service standards are met
- Oversee that both health and safety and sanitization standards are being adhered to
Skills and qualifications required:
- A minimum of 1-year’ experience in a similar role
- Fluency in the English language
- Willing to work shifts, including weekends and / or public holidays
- Have the ability to identify and solve problems efficiently and effectively
- Hold a positive attitude and good communication skills
- Have excellent organizational skills coupled with an outgoing personality
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
