Job Description
We are a four-star superior resort located in a unique area at the heart of the island surrounded by the beautiful landscape of Wied Għollieqa, Nature Reserve.
We are seeking a person to take on the role of a Receptionist on a full-time basis. As a receptionist, you will be the first encounter our guests experience hence, the person occupying this role has to be a polite and positive individual. This is to support our resort’s objective to give an outstanding experience to our all guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests by greeting and directing them appropriately
- Answer and forward incoming phone calls
- Attend to guest requests and enquiries and follow up accordingly
- Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office
- Arrange travel and accommodations
- Prepare vouchers
- Provide basic and accurate information in-person, telephonically and online
- Ensure that the reception area is kept tidy and presentable while having all necessary stationery and material
- Keep updated records of office expenses and costs
- Upsell different room types and tours
- Update and give proper handover to other team members
- Any other duties as requested by the front office manager or supervisors
Skills and qualifications required:
- Proven work experience as a receptionist, front office representative or a similar role
- English language, as well as another European language (preferable, French and / or Italian) both written and spoken, are a must
- Experience with Opera system will be considered an asset, however, training is provided
- Have a minimum of 1-year experience in a similar role
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive
- Hold a professional attitude and smart appearance
- Excellent organizational skills
- Hold multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Flexible to work on a roster basis, including weekends and / or public holidays
