Are you ready for the next step? In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day credit management function of the hotel. This will include following up on debtor payments, evaluating applications for credit and together with the Director of Finance authorizing credit to clients, as well as monitoring, administering and managing the debtors list and overall credit risk of the company.
Other core work activities include the upholding of finance policies and procedures outlined in the credit policy, the interaction with sales and events associates for timely credit decisions on incoming customers whilst demonstrating and applying commercial knowledge to Credit Management decisions. Other duties include the submission of ad hoc reports in a timely manner as well as the support for the achievement and exceeding of Finance and Accounting goals.
In this role, the selected applicant will use interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence and encourage others, whilst advocating sound financial / business decision making, demonstrating honesty / integrity and leading by example.
Candidates should ideally meet the following requisites:
- Previous work experience in the hospitality sector
- Good communication skills
- Conversant with Opera software
