Job Description
Terracore group is an established group growing at a fast pace. We are now looking to recruit a Full-time Financial Controller to strengthen and support our existing team. The financial controller is a senior-level manager who will oversee all aspects of the organization’s finance and accounting functions.
The Financial Controller is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, and completeness of the financial statements and management accounts, as well as developing and implementing financial policies and procedures. The selected candidate will be responsible for financial planning, analysis, and strategy, working closely with the business owners to support the organization’s goals and objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the Accounting team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
- Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the organization’s overall business objectives.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, assess performance, and inform decision-making via management accounts and reports.
- Prepare and manage budgets and forecasts.
- Prepare or oversee statutory VAT reporting.
- Monitor internal controls and ensure compliance with financial and tax regulations.
- Manage the accounting team and provide guidance on accounting policies and procedures.
- Liaise with external auditors and other financial professionals.
- Provide financial reporting and analysis to senior management, the board of directors, and external stakeholders.
- Monitor and manage cash flow and liquidity and optimize the use of financial resources.
- Identify and implement strategies to improve financial efficiency and reduce costs.
- Evaluate and implement changes to financial systems and software to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in financial accounting and management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
