Job Description

SV Beauty Limited forms part of the VJ Salomone Group of Companies. The established joint venture company brings together the reputation and experience of the V.J. Salomone Group of Companies and Vivian Corporation Limited, both leading import and distribution companies within the beauty industry.

SV Beauty represents a number of international brands such as Hugo Boss, Calvin Klein, Burberry, Chloe, Lancaster, Max Factor, Adidas, Rimmel, Thalgo, Clarins, and other well renowned brands. We are currently seeking to recruit a Supply Chain Administrator.

Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the primary function of the Employee will be to coordinate shipments ensuring that merchandise arrives safely, in good order and on time.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage all important documents such as advanced shipping notice; pick slips, bills of lading, AWB’s, etc.,
  • Create and foster current relationships with new and existing local and foreign suppliers and logistics companies,
  • Liaise with freight forwarders and shipping lines,
  • Keep track of ordered merchandise and communicate Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) to superior and warehouse personnel,
  • Check goods on arrival and inform suppliers of any discrepancies accordingly,
  • Input product costings and establish product pricing,
  • Collaborate with warehouse, purchasing and other managers to optimise processes,
  • Open claims with supplier / local insurance provider when stock is received in a damaged state,
  • Liaise with the various other internal departments on a daily basis,
  • Processing documents when necessary,
  • Compiling necessary reports on a weekly / monthly basis,
  • Manage a proper filing system, answering telephone calls, attend meetings, answering and writing e-mails, follow-up tasks lists, etc.,
  • Maintaining a good rapport with all suppliers.

Requirements:

  • Be fluent in both verbal and written maltese and English,
  • Be trustworthy, and polite,
  • Be organised and efficient,
  • Be computer literate and highly proficient in the use of Excel, Word and other office applications,
  • Possess excellent communication skills,
  • Possess a positive can-do attitude, enthusiasm and an ability to work on own initiative and under pressure,
  • Experienced shipping knowledge and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role will be considered an asset.
