Job Description

The Payroll and Time Management Specialist is responsible for the monthly workings related to payroll and all time management processes based on the requirement of local labour law regulations and business requirements.

Your tasks

  • To promote a positive safety culture and to ensure that safety and quality policy is communicated / promoted and implemented within the organization.
  • To ensure that all elements of the SMS are properly implemented, maintained and continuously improved by fulfilling all SMS-related duties and responsibilities as defined in the SMS manual.
  • Control time management.
  • Interrogate, run and extract reports from the ERP system.
  • Identify errors in clocking data and amend where necessary.
  • Maintain personnel shift patterns.
  • Update individual times in the ERP system with relevant codes for sick, absence, leave and banking hours etc.
  • Maintain individual’s time in the ERP system with relevant training code when supplied from training / quality department.
  • Liaise with line managers to fill in any missed clockings and account for all employee’s paid hours.
  • File all documentation (i.e. leave slips, sick forms) into clearly labelled folders to be archived at the end of the year.
  • Ensure all corrections made for time management are carried out in a timely manner.
  • Be responsible for the monthly workings related to payroll.
  • Ensure that salaries are issued in a timely manner.
  • Deliver monthly reporting and distribute to management, HR and finance on schedule.
  • Provide day-to-day support to employees with regard to payroll and time management-related matters.
  • Execute any other task commensurate with the role.

Your profile

  • Good command of verbal and written English.
  • Be IT literate, including MS Office applications.
  • Have good knowledge of Maltese employment law.
  • Positive attitude and solutions orientated.
  • A high degree of customer focus, both internal and external.
  • Have an eye for detail.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure.
  • Experience using SAP or other related ERP systems would be an advantage.
  • Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience working in a similar role.
