Job Description

Established in 1993, SR Group is today one of Malta’s leading suppliers of construction, industrial and recycling plants and equipment with a large portfolio of prestigious international brands, which it represents. As part of an expansion exercise, SR Services Ltd, which forms part of the group, is looking for an experienced Manager with a high technical background, to complement our team of professionals. Reporting directly to the directors, the successful candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications.

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for the organising of installation / commissioning of new equipment / machinery;
  • Supervise on-site jobs;
  • Coordinate efficiently on-site jobs for technicians;
  • Issue reports on technical jobs;
  • Find ways for continuous improvement in the efficiency of the technical department;
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required on-site jobs;
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas;
  • Review wiring diagrams and other technical information on the available systems;
  • Ensure that staff members are acting in line with health and safety requirements;
  • Assist in complex onsite fault-finding operations;
  • Act as liaison between management and the technical staff on job role requirements and other issues;
  • To keep abreast of technical knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a related industry would be an asset;
  • A mechanical / electrical engineer graduate or equivalent;
  • In possession of a Maltese driving license;
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications;
  • Fluency in Maltese and English (written and spoken);
  • Fluency in Italian will be considered an asset.

  • Good communication and management skills.

A good remuneration package will be offered to the candidate, with the right qualifications and experience. Training will also be offered on specific products, where necessary.
