Job Description

Salvo Grima Group is a dynamic group of companies specialising in distribution, ship supply, international wholesale and retail in Europe and Africa. Our Group was first established in 1860 and now employs over 230 people with operations in seven countries.

We are looking for a Manager – International Business Supply Chain to join our International Business and Retail unit.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • In possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing or a related field; A Master’s degree will be considered an asset.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience within the FMCG industry.
  • Fluency in English is essential, with proficiency in French and / or Arabic being a strong advantage.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with proficiency in cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong project management, budget management, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in using modern business tools and software for analysis and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic synergies: Identify and facilitate product opportunities that can be effectively leveraged across different companies within our group.
  • Export opportunities: Explore, develop, and capitalise on opportunities to sell our products to different markets internationally.
  • Cross-company collaboration: Work closely with Brand Managers, Sales, Purchasing, and Marketing teams across the Group to drive brand consistency and maximise sales potentials.
  • Market analysis: Regularly monitor market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape to suggest strategic directions and product introductions across the group.
  • Retail assistance: While not the primary focus, you will be required to occasionally support our Retail Operations team in various capacities, ensuring a seamless brand experience for our customers and partners.
  • Reporting and analysis: Provide regular insights and reports on potential brand integrations, sales opportunities, and market trends that can benefit the group at large.
