Job Description
Our client, an Airline established in Malta, is seeking a People and Culture Business Partner.
The People and Culture Business Partner is responsible for partnering and consulting with senior leadership of their assigned business unit to execute the people strategy in line with the needs of their assigned business units to deliver the Airline’s business strategy. This requires them to understand the business strategy and the specific needs of their assigned business units and to provide them with forward-looking, strategic HR consultation and solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develops deep knowledge of and builds relationships within the assigned business units.
- Assesses, evaluates and fully understands the human resources requirements of the assigned business units.
- Partners with and consults senior management within the respective business unit to ensure their people’s needs are met.
- Oversees day-to-day operations of HR responsibilities in relation to the assigned business unit by handling all stages of the employee lifecycle.
- Guides HR Administrators in their day-to-day and project-based work which is in relation to relevant business units.
- Develops and implements recruiting strategies in support of a workforce plan for their assigned business units.
- Develops specific action plans with the business unit leaders to enhance the people experience within the business unit and responds to employee experience concerns.
- Acts as a bridge between assigned business units and the People and Culture departments.
- Provides guidance, coaching, development and support to employees within the respective business unit as needed.
- Ensures HR policies and procedures are updated and remain effective. Supports the other People and Culture team members in the development of policies and procedures.
- Ensures compliance with all Human Resources policies within the respective business unit.
- Other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, as needed by the Airline or requested by management.
Experience and Competencies
- At least three (3) years working in a similar HR role.
- Experience supporting and consulting senior-level roles is considered an asset.
- Solid understanding of various HR responsibilities such as strategic workforce planning, change management, employee engagement, industrial relations, rewards, and people analytics are required.
- Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Experience in an Airline (not necessary within an HR role) would be considered an asset.
- Advanced collaboration, communication and influencing skills.
- High degree of organisational skills.
- Independent and innovative problem solver.
Qualifications
- Ideally in possession of a degree at MQF 6 in Human Resources Management, Business, or a related field.
