Seaview and Sons Limited is a leading Company in the Fuel Sector, operating 3 fuel stations, namely Pit Stop Attard, Pit Stop Marsascala and Pit Stop Ghaxaq. Additionally, Seaview and Sons Limited is also involved in the Rental and Construction sectors with various projects around Malta.
The Company is seeking to recruit an Accounts Clerk to join its growing team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious professional starting out in the accounting profession who has the drive and desire to be part of a growing group of companies.
The successful applicant will report to the Financial Controller and their role will include:
- Process and posting of invoices in the accounting system;
- Prepare and process payments to suppliers;
- Liaise with vendors and prepare vendor reconciliations;
- Debtor reconciliations and maintaining the debtors’ ledger;
- Input bank entries;
- Maintaining accounting documents and records;
- General ledger postings;
- Prepare cashbook and bank reconciliations;
- Assist with month-end related tasks;
- File documents;
- Performing any other duties that may be required for the smooth running of the Finance department.
Required skills / qualifications:
- Able to work on own initiative and with minimum supervision;
- Have good communication and interpersonal skills;
- Fluent in written and spoken English;
- Highly motivated with good time management skills;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Experienced in using MS Office software, particularly Excel;
- Preferably have a working knowledge of computerised accounting systems, such as Sage;
- Being open to learning new computerised systems;
- Experience in a similar role will be considered an asset, however, full training will be provided.
Salary expectations:
- Salary is proportional to the applicant’s qualifications and experience.
