Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Front Office department for an Assistant Front Office Manager to join our Pebbles Resort and Bora Bora Ibiza Malta team. Reporting to the Rooms Division Manager, you will be a key member of the reception team.

As an Assistant Front Office Manager, you will oversee the front office activities between the guest, the hotel, and the various hotel departments. You will be responsible for supervising the activities that create the first impressions of our guests.

What you will be doing

  • Ensure your team has current knowledge of hotel products, services, pricing and special promotional offers.
  • Monitor the appearance, standards, and performance of employees with an emphasis on training and teamwork.
  • Maximize sales revenues through up-selling of rooms and F&B offerings.
  • Manage guest requests, inquiries, and complaints promptly and completely.
  • Maintain the professional appearance of the front desk with a focus on hospitality and guest service.
  • Carry out shift handovers and brief team members as required.
  • Follow company brand standards.
  • Own and maintain the room allocation process in line with the hotel room inventory as well as any prepayments and / or refunds processed through the front desk operation.
  • Assist other departments, as necessary, and maintain good working relationships with all the hotel team members.
  • Drive the recruitment processes required for the department with the support of the HR department and Hotel Manager.
  • Drive the personal development of the Front Office team members in line with company culture and ethics.
  • Supervise accurate and efficient reception operations including check in / out procedures.
  • Support team members in handling guest requests and enquiries to ensure a positive outcome.
  • Ensure the Front Office Manager is fully aware of any relevant feedback from guests and / or other departments.

  • Previous front office experience in a hotel environment.
  • Calm, organized work ethic with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent supervisory, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
