Job Description

System Implementation Specialists with the required capabilities to analyse and document business needs, conduct business process re-engineering, analysis of existing solutions, and transpose business needs including BPR designs into business requirements.

He/she must also conduct tasks as required throughout the whole software lifecycle process of system design, development, implementation, testing, and support.

He/she must have at a minimum a Diploma in ICT and/or Business and ICT or equivalent at MQF level 5 (or higher) and three years experience in systems implementation.

The System Implementation Specialists must possess excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills and must be fluent in one (1) of the official languages of Malta (both written and spoken).

The specific tasks to be delivered are the following:

  • Assess existing solutions both from a business and technical perspective and document the ‘as is’ state
  • Meeting various stakeholders to understand the business needs
  • Develop new opportunities for business and operational development
  • Conduct business process re-engineering and service re-design
  • Conducting requirements analysis, liaising with other technical staff and preparing specific proposals for system modifications or replacements
  • Examine current systems, define application problems by conferring with users; evaluate procedures and processes and developing a solution by preparing and evaluating alternative solutions
  • Propose specifications for modifications or new systems, based on market research, including suitable hardware to support such specifications
  • Assisting in the coordination, supervision and management of specific IT-related projects and programmes
  • Perform duties as required throughout the whole life cycle of software / project development
  • Identify and work with the Project Leader, business owners and other key stakeholders to ensure sustainable environments for the development and deployment of new solutions
  • Work with the software developers to ensure that the business requirements are correctly transposed into technical needs
  • Plan and manage effective communication sessions including training to users, as well as providing support and advice to users
  • Produce high quality documents and written reports taking into account applicable standards, methods and tools to generate user manuals and training materials

The role is for a definitive 3-year project and may be extended by a further 3 years.

Salary range we are looking for is Eur20,000 to a maximum of Eur30,000 per annum.

The role is full-time, 40hrs a week.
