Job Description

NM Group is a fully-fledged professional services firm, providing clients with a one-stop-shop for all their business needs. With specialised teams working on specific business units in the areas of accounting, finance, corporate, tax, legal, and business advisory, NM Group aims to deliver effective corporate services that cover all bases, be it for a start-up or an established business.

The candidate will be working on a range of tasks, which will include:

  • Co-ordinating and handling day-to-day client requests in relation to corporate requests
  • Preparation and submission of statutory filings as well as performing other statutory obligations as is required of the company secretary such as maintaining company registers, attending board meetings and taking board minutes, etc
  • Liaising with Lawyers, Accountants, Auditors and other service providers
  • Carrying out due diligence, risk assessments and compliance checks for new and existing business relationships
  • Working closely with and reporting to the MLRO, Compliance Officer and Head of Corporate
  • Preparing and submitting CRS and FATCA reports
  • Liaise with banks and PSPs on a regular basis, understand account opening processes and requirements and assist clients with the same
  • Have contact with the Malta Business Registry and any other regulatory authorities

The candidate must meet the following requirements:

  • At least 2 years experience working in a Corporate Administration role
  • Excellent communication skills in English (both spoken and written)
  • Highly meticulous and detail-oriented
  • A good understanding of Maltese company law
  • Good computer skills including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Positive can-do attitude, willingness to learn and to develop their career
  • Experience in compliance work within a CSP environment would be considered an asset. Academic qualifications in AML Compliance and Risk Mitigation are also important
