Job Description

Mizzi Motors Ltd is looking to recruit an HR Specialist. Responsibilities include the recruitment, support and training of the employees of the company. The Human Resources Specialist should also support the HR Manager and have a good understanding of full-cycle recruiting and solid knowledge of employment legislation.

Tasks

  • Coordinate and assist in the performance management process and employee evaluation.
  • Provide interpretation to employees and management on the collective agreement, the company’s policies and procedures, the employee handbook and legislation related to employment and social security.
  • Monitor the overall level of employee satisfaction and reports to the Human Resources Manager on any issues that need to be addressed.
  • Keep management informed on any employee or HR related issues when and as appropriate.
  • Ensure that employee-related information is maintained and processed in a strictly confidential manner and in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
  • Manage and maintain the quarterly eNewsletter.
  • Process any information required for the Company’s health insurance.
  • Promote HR programs.
  • Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance.
  • Coordinate, plan and implement any local training programmes.
  • Communicate with staff about issues affecting their performance.
  • Adhere to laws and regulations
  • Gather and analyse data with useful HR metrics.
  • Assist in organising any events or activities.
  • Assist the Human Resources Manager in any projects, reporting systems or data gathering.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies.
  • Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes.
  • Coordinate the recruitment process involving the drafting of the advert / circular.
  • Assist the HR Manager in her day-to-day duties and keep her updated on any issues related to the department.
  • Attend training, seminars and conferences when and as required.
  • Keep self updated on employment legislation, tax and social security regulations.
  • Replace HR officer in updating payroll department on salaries and wages in his / her absence.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Certification or award in Human Resources.
  • Prior experience working in payroll and HR will be considered an asset.
