Job Description

Mizzi Estates Limited – a company forming part of the Mizzi Organisation – is responsible for the management and leasing operations of the group’s residential and commercial property portfolio, as well as overseeing new developments.

Mizzi Estates Limited is now seeking to recruit a full-time Technical Officer.

Being primarily responsible for the maintenance and general upkeep of the company’s property portfolio, he / she shall possess the necessary qualities and credentials commensurate with the company’s standing and repute, and demonstrate the ability to carry out the following responsibilities to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Directing the Maintenance and Cleaning team and scheduling maintenance and / or repair works accordingly
  • Overseeing refurbishment and upgrading works
  • Ability to troubleshoot and undertake fault-finding on plumbing, electrical and air-conditioning systems
  • Liaising with contractors and service providers to ensure upkeep of properties and that these are well maintained and serviced
  • Seeking quotes from suppliers, contractors and service providers and organising site meetings with the same
  • Reviewing service agreements for lifts, generators, fire safety, security, landscaping, waste collection and HVAC systems
  • Sourcing and procuring necessary spare parts, furniture, furnishings, appliances
  • Coordinating and scheduling maintenance works
  • Compiling and updating property inventory lists, maintenance records etc
  • Furnishing residential properties and making sure these are handed over to the highest standard
  • Regular updating of property records and databases and providing reports to management as may be necessary

Skills, qualifications and experience:

  • Fluent in both written and spoken Maltese and English
  • Punctual, trustworthy, diligent, and responsible
  • Professional appearance
  • Able to meet deadlines and multitask
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Assertive and able to work on their own initiative
  • Have good organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Have preferably obtained ECDL certification and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel)
  • Good team player
  • A technical qualification (degree / diploma) would be considered an asset

Salary bracket €30,000 – €35,000 + company car + benefits.
