Job Description

Jobsplus Permit Number 589/2016.

At the eGovernment and Corporate Solutions department, we are responsible for delivering those shared ICT services which the government builds upon to digitalise the provision of services to citizens, residents of Malta and cross-border users from other European Member States.

Our portfolio includes the eID, workflow automation, electronic payment gateway, SMS notifications gateway and website content management tools used for local eGovernment services, the eIDAS Node and single digital gateway used for cross-border services, and the HR and financial packages used corporately within government. Additionally, we have recently been entrusted with the implementation of a European Blockchain Services Infrastructure (EBSI) Node for Malta, to enhance our strategic positioning at European level and facilitate onboarding of use cases at national level. The Malta EBSI Node would form part of the EBSI Platform which is a peer-to-peer network of interconnected nodes.

For the provision of these services, we use the latest Hybrid Cloud technology coupled with cutting edge systems in every sector in which we operate. We increasingly adopt Agile methods for managing in-house software development while ensuring the resilience of the architectures we design and build.

To fulfil our upcoming challenges, we are seeking to strengthen our team with individuals who wish to distinguish themselves and do something truly meaningful in their careers. In turn, we offer the opportunity for unique exposure and sustained career development and training.

If you wish to be part of this mission, we look forward to hearing from you.

The successful candidate will be expected to hold either of the following set of qualifications and / or experience:

  • An ICT related diploma (MQF level 5) or higher, in which case experience is not necessary; or
  • An ICT related diploma (MQF level 4) together with one-year experience in a related area; or
  • Two years’ experience in a related area.

Fresh graduates may be offered an employment opportunity subject to the provision of final results.

Candidates’ qualifications, experience and competencies will be assessed in line with the Agency’s Career Progression framework. Successful candidates may be engaged at either the Associate level – career level 2, the standard level – career level 3 or the senior level – career level 4.

MITA provides equal opportunities.

We invest in your future.
