Job Description

Medina Healthcare Limited is looking to recruit an Accounts Clerk to join their team on a full-time / part-time basis time or on reduced hours basis considered.

Main responsibilities include

  • Providing accounting and clerical assistance to the Finance department;
  • Posting of all accounting documents up to trial balance on the financial accounting system;
  • Processing invoices, recording payments and keeping track of expenses;
  • Updating bank accounts including monthly bank reconciliations;
  • Periodic reconciliation of creditors’ statements with accounting records;
  • Assisting in the preparation of VAT returns and other regulatory reporting;
  • Chasing debtors;
  • Assisting in any internal / external audits which take place periodically;
  • Assisting in periodic stock-taking exercises.

The ideal candidate should be in possession of

  • At least 2 years experience in a similar accounting position;
  • Experience using accounting software;
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel;
  • Proficiency in English (oral and written);
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Candidates in the process of obtaining a professional accounting qualification would be preferred.
