Job Description

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Warehouse Coordinator will be responsible for the preparation of receipt of materials and their distribution or storage, while also verifying correctness of goods received and dispatched and ensuring necessary accompanying documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring accurate, timely, and safe ‘stock’ receipt / preparation for dispatch
  • Proper loading and unloading of stock items after receiving goods and for delivery with minimum handling and stock damage
  • Timely completion of paperwork associated with receipt and dispatch of goods
  • Ensuring proper stacking of products to facilitate picking, rotation, physical counts and to attain optimal space utilisation
  • Ensure the proper loading and operations of vehicles in compliance with regulations
  • Monitoring and upkeep of stock level records
  • Maintaining organised upkeep and physical condition of the warehouse, ensuring that stock items are stored / arranged in order and properly labelled and reporting any maintenance / repair related issues
  • Maintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the warehouse by ensuring that safety practices and policies are followed at all times
  • Ensuring security of the warehouse and access control as per procedures
  • Liaising with the Logistics team to ensure that goods are delivered / dispatched within agreed timelines
  • Control inventory levels by conducting periodical physical counts and reconciling with the inventory management system

Requirements:

  • Previous work experience coordinating stock in a warehouse
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with the highest level of accuracy
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proven ability to clearly communicate with managers and associates at all levels
  • Basic computer skills including use of Word, Excel, and Outlook (email)
  • Medically and physically able to move and load or unload stock, equipment, materials, and products and to operate equipment used to transfer stock items (e.g. driving forklifts and related material-handling machinery and equipment) – training will be provided

Working hours:
This position is available on a full-time basis, working a standard 40hr week between Monday and Friday (07.00hrs – 15.30hrs) with additional hours (overtime) required regularly after hours as well as on Saturdays.
