Job Description
An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an HR Administrator to join the Human Resources Department of the Malta Marriott Hotel & Spa, part of Marriott International and one of Malta’s leading 5-Star hotels.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist management in the recruitment process by acquiring briefs for recruitment adverts, filtering CVs, conducting preliminary interviews and coordinating recruitment drives to ensure vacancies are filled promptly;
- Oversee engagement of new associates, by drafting contracts and other HR related documentation;
- Oversee induction and termination process of associates;
- Maintain good relations with Jobsplus, the DIER and other relevant stakeholders
- Maintain associates information by entering and updating employment and status-change data;
- Maintain associates confidence and protect operations by keeping an updated employee file system, ensuring all records are filed and stored in a confidential manner;
- Maintain all information needed with regards to associate’s work permits including making sure that all work permits are valid during the period of employment;
- Act as the main point of contact for the entire internship process at the hotel including contact with the educational institutions, students as well as supporting organizations;
- Maintain all records of any licensing required by associates up to date and inform associates and management accordingly when licenses are about to expire;
- Make sure that all means of communication with associates are kept updated including any social media venues, emails as well as the associates notice board
- Submit associates data reports by assembling, preparing, and analyzing data;
- Acting as Marriot Learning Coordinator and keep records of any training organized;
- Support with the organization of associate events;
- Assist in HR projects in liaison with the HR Manager.
Requirements:
- Experience for at least one year in human resources administration preferred;
- Have Maltese employment Law knowledge;
- Be able to work under pressure with minimum supervision;
- Associates needs are anticipated and ready to help/solve their problems;
- Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written;
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously;
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited information exists;
- Must have exceptional organizational skills;
- Able to work in a team.
