Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Functionally responsible for Aircraft Engineers internationally in the Planning and Engineering department
  • Represent the department in engineering topics as the expert in front of OEMs and customers
  • Responsible for the process modelling of the Engineer role in the department
  • Monitor operations to ensure that engineering standards and processes are fulfilling the requirements, from the quality and legal perspective, expectations and fulfilment
  • Process confirm across the network
  • Actively search for new business opportunities in the area of aircraft engineering within the division, LHT as a company and in the aviation industry
  • Lead projects in the field of aircraft engineering and work closely with the senior aircraft engineers on engineering topics / initiatives
  • Owner of digital products developed for Aircraft Engineers
  • Develop and promote synergies with other LHT Engineering departments, remote working concepts and partnerships
  • Support Aircraft Engineers with escalation topics, complex engineering activities, first-time findings
  • Identify and evaluate new training opportunities for OPE Aircraft Engineers
  • Promotes and actively participates in enhancing a continuous improvement mindset across the teams of Aircraft Engineers
  • Support operations in case of ad-hoc requirements

Requirements:

  • University degree in relevant engineering subject with a minimum of 3 years of experience in aircraft engineering / aircraft repair design, or
  • Professional training in aircraft maintenance with a minimum of three years of experience in aircraft maintenance / repair design / aircraft engineering
  • Extensive knowledge of aircraft systems / engines / avionics and in structures / interior
  • Fluent in English. This includes extensive awareness of different technical documentation available
  • General familiarization course (or type-rating course) for at least two of the following aircraft types: A320 family, A330/A340 family, Airbus A380, Boeing 737 CL/NG, Boeing 747
  • Knowledge of airworthiness requirements and airworthiness certification specifications
  • Strong project management skills
  • Commercial and business oriented
  • Good analytical skills, methodical and well organized
  • Proven communication, presentation and reporting skills
  • Holding aircraft engineering authorizations will be considered as an asset
  • Self-driven / desire for self-improvement, but also an effective team player
