Job Description
We are seeking candidates that are very passionate about coffee and have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a fast-paced environment to join our team in our newly opened establishment in Marsaskala.
You must be able to execute and have a good understanding of various coffees / alternate brewing methods and be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high coffee volume, you must also be able to perform all daily duties required in a cafe environment.
Responsibilities:
- Understand all house blends, guest coffee and tea that is being served with the addition of food, getting customers engaged with your expertise and knowledge.
- Have full understanding of the technical and operational aspects of coffee machines and grinders.
- Daily maintenance of the coffee machine.
- Able to develop and create signature drinks (coffee, alternate brewing and tea)
- Conduct staff training when required.
- Develop a coffee training program with the inclusion of cupping sessions for external customers and also the internal staff.
- Assist with identifying add-on product range and report back to Manager.
- Able to operate a POS system.
- Conduct all day-to-day café duties.
- Being able to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
- Open and close of business if required.
