About the role
The dynamic investment services and funds regulatory landscape has changed significantly over the past few years, particularly due to the introduction of European Union legislation such as the UCITS Directive, Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD) and MiFID II.
With over 150 licenced service providers, over 20 recognised fund administrators, and over 566 funds licenced in Malta with a combined NAV of just over Eur14.5 billion, the Malta investment services and funds space retains the attraction as an exciting, and dynamic industry.
Against this backdrop, we are looking to strengthen our team with experienced specialists and are looking for people who are interested and keen to build and develop their career within the investment services and funds regulatory environment.
The recruited specialists will be at the core the firm’s service offering to our clients in this area, including, assisting in due diligence work as part of transactions, obtaining / extending of licences, providing advice, and carrying out assurance work. The position also provides the opportunity of working closely with other network firms in foreign jurisdictions, providing a clear opportunity for career growth.
Experience & Qualifications:
- To be considered for this vacancy, you must hold a university degree in law, finance, or similar. We are also looking for at least 4 years of experience in the investment services and funds space.
- The right candidate will be confident to interact directly with international clients.
- Fluency in English is a requirement.
- Technical knowledge on local and European Union investment services and funds regulations, as well as people and management skills are important.
