Job Description
We are looking for an organised and neat person to carry out cleaning duties in an office environment in central Malta. Spoken English and a good level of hygiene is essential.
Full-time on a permanent basis.
Key responsibilities:
- Cleaning and maintenance:
- Deep clean and sanitize all assigned areas, including bedrooms, bathrooms, living spaces, common areas, and other designated locations.
- Dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and polishing surfaces to maintain a tidy and presentable environment.
- Washing, drying and ironing linens and clothing as required.
- Changing linens, making beds, and replacing used towels to ensure fresh and clean accommodations.
- Organizing and tidying up belongings and items left in common areas.
- Safety and hygiene
- Ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards, using appropriate cleaning agents and tools.
- Properly handle and dispose of waste, adhering to waste management protocols.
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the lady of the household or approved delegate.
- Ensure the proper use and storage of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Customer service
- Provide a friendly and helpful attitude when interacting with residents.
- Respond to specific cleaning requests or additional services promptly and efficiently.
- Address any concerns or complaints from residents professionally and respectfully.
- Team collaboration
- Attention to detail
- Pay close attention to detail, ensuring that no areas are overlooked during the cleaning process.
- Report any damages or missing items to the Supervisor / Manager.
- Flexibility
- Be adaptable to changing work schedules, including weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime if necessary.
Competencies:
- Fluent in English.
- 2 references.
- Police check.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in housekeeping or a related field is an advantage.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment usage.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Preference will be given to candidates with a Maltese or international driving license.
