Job Description

The Key Client Project Lead (KCPL) is the day-to-day senior account interface between the client and the internal team and is expected to establish a strong and positive working relationship with both groups. They are the people who make sure the machinery of JPA runs smoothly, keeping their eyes on everything from the original scope and context to the small details of the projects. They’re the oversight that ensure client goals are met and channel our creative talents. Their drive and focus in on the customer experience – clearly understanding what opportunities each integrated marketing channel brings to an engaging customer journey and ultimately campaign success. The right person is driven, self-motivated and they make decisions that solve problems on a daily basis.

Key Accountabilities

  • Correctly interpreting and communicating client’s brief internally
  • Devising and presenting effective marketing ideas and strategies to meet client’s brief focusing on the customer experience at the core
  • Project managing all the work involved to ensure that it meets clients’ brief, deadlines and budget
  • Positively and proactively contributing to the achievement of the Marketing Team’s financial goals
  • Act as a focal point and team leader across disciplines and skills required
  • Managing the team accordingly

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist senior management in developing and implementing the monthly account planning and activities
  • Demonstrates excellent judgement and ability to solve problems, delegating work appropriately across account teams
  • Liaising and building strong relations with a range of stakeholders including customers, colleagues, suppliers and partner organisations to ensure the successful completion of each job
  • Negotiating with suppliers, media houses and print buying to obtain the best product / service at the most favourable rates
  • Checking of all output and liaise with designers re artwork technicalities to ensure high quality product
  • Ensuring all work is documented accurately for invoicing purposes
  • Understand what success means to each client, then deliver on those results
  • Project managing all tasks / projects
  • Add creative insight and problem-solving to all of the above on a consistent basis

Secondary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinating, planning and supervising photo shoots / filming
  • Organising and coordinating promotional activities / events
  • Preparing media schedules and coordinating the booking of all advertising
  • Preparing and submitting quotations
  • Content writing and proof reading for various media
  • Carry out all administrative functions related to the client’s account
  • Monitoring competitor activity
  • Keep abreast of marketing communications trends and techniques

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Required

  • Strategic marketing fundamentals
  • Media fundamentals (both traditional and digital)
  • High proficiency in written and spoken Maltese and English
  • Good proficiency in MS Office (particularly MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint)
  • Clean driving licence and use of own method of transport

Physical Demands/Hazards
The role involves working under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment, juggling various projects at any one time and relying on external suppliers. Travelling within a working day may be frequent but the role does not involve any specific physical demands and/or hazards.

Qualifications and Experience
The KCPL is expected to have completed education up to tertiary level in a related field with at least 5 years of previous experience in a similar position.
