Our firm is seeking to recruit a Lawyer on a part-time basis.
The employee will be mainly responsible for:
- Drafting and reviewing agreements and other legal documents to ensure that they are in compliance with all statutory or legal requirements;
- Assisting in corporate transactions and restructuring of corporate entities;
- Conducting legal research on various points of law and consolidating legal opinions to clients;
- Providing legal advisory and interpretation services to the management to ensure compliance with existing law and regulatory requirements;
- Advising the management on general issues that may arise from time to time, such as internal anti-money laundering policies and procedures;
- Assisting with the administration of other entities such as foundations;
- Other duties which fall within the competence of the employee which the employer may assign from time to time.
Required skills, qualifications, and experience:
- Qualified and warranted Maltese Lawyer;
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role;
- Results-oriented and business-minded. Able to strike a sound balance between commercial realities and legal needs;
- Able to exercise sound independent judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses;
- Collaborative, with excellent interpersonal skills and able to communicate well at all levels of the organisation and its client base;
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency;
- Digitally literate with a robust understanding of business tools (MS Office, etc.).
