A vacancy has arisen at Il-Veduta Pizzeria and Restaurant for the position of Assistant Restaurant Manager.
Overall Purpose of Position
To ensure the smooth running of the restaurant service / events and adhere to pre-established standards of service and control.
- Ensure smooth and professional ongoing supervision.
- To coordinate and oversee the restaurant service / events.
- To assist the Restaurant Manager in crew scheduling and ensure they are adhered to.
- Ensure that all staff is notified of any relevant changes to service standards.
- Ensuring that members of staff are presentable and up to the standards required.
- To have a hands-on approach and assist subordinates on the floor as required
- Direct subordinates in meeting their operational objectives.
- To ensure standards are kept and optimum customer satisfaction is maintained.
- To be readily available to assist clients as and when required and to solve problems / issues on the spot.
- To be polite, courteous and professional at all times even when under pressure or dealing with problematic situations.
- To ensure up selling of food and beverage items and to be knowledgeable of menu items.
- To assist in maintaining and checking the condition of each equipment and facility used in the restaurant.
- Previous experience working in a similar role.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Customer service experience in a supervisor role.
- A warm personality, attention to detail and smart appearance.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
- Good command of English and Maltese languages.
