Job Description

IELS Malta is a leading English language school operating within the tourism & education industry for over 35 years, operating all year-round providing tuition and accommodation to students from all over the world.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to assist the Marketing Manager with all marketing activities, both on-line and off-line; oversee all direct sales for the IELS School and Days Inn Hotel, including booking.com and Expedia channels. Applicants must be in possession of EU working documents.

This role includes various duties (but not limited to):

  • Working closely with the Direct Sales and Marketing Manager to create a solid and lead-generating marketing strategy, including both online and offline tactics.
  • Organising and overseeing advertising / communication campaigns on social media channels, websites, magazines and any other platform that may offer an opportunity.
  • Dealing with direct queries received over the phone, from the website(s) and ‘walk-in’ clients; distributing information regarding courses and accommodation in a professional manner; providing accurate quotations.
  • Communicating with all in-house students wishing to extend their academic course and / or accommodation, checking availability, providing accurate quotations.
  • Working closely with the Reservations and Accommodation Manager to ensure accurate Days Inn accommodation availabilities and competitive pricing on booking.com, Expedia and other similar platforms featuring Days Inn Hotel.
  • Be able to design captivating visuals with Adobe Suite and give creative assistance to in-house and external designers using your artistic and keen eye for detail, keeping all design work in-line with corporate identity.
  • Assisting in writing and updating material for the group media (brochures, flyers, promotions and all on-line channels).
  • Carrying out any other duties as may be reasonable assigned by the Head of Sales and / or Direct Sales and Marketing Manager from time to time.

An attractive remuneration package will be offered to the most suitable applicant in accordance with his / her experience and qualifications. Salary range €17,000 – €20,000 depending on qualifications and experience.

Qualification, traits and attitude:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Excellent command of English language, speaking and writing.
  • Experience with social media and web analytics (e.g. WebTrends), solid understanding of online and direct marketing.
  • Results-oriented, great attention to detail and ability to prioritize.
  • Proficient in MS Office and marketing software (e.g. social scheduling platforms).
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Creativity and commercial awareness.

  • Salary:  €17,000 – €20,000
