Job Description
Giuseppi’s Restaurant is one of Malta’s longest established restaurants, with Chef-Patron Michael Diacono running the kitchen for over 20 years.
The restaurant has recently relocated, expanded and re-branded with the aim to be Malta’s premier bar and bistro.
Due to these changes we are currently looking to recruit Chefs / Line Cooks.
We are seeking qualified and experienced Chefs with a passion for food to work under the leadership of one of Malta’s best-known Chefs. Applicants must be hard-working, passionate and skilled.
Daily role would include:
- Setup and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Prepare all food to be ready for service
- Cook menu items as per direction of the Executive Chef and in cooperation with all kitchen staff
- Answer, report and follow all Executive Chef’s instructions
- Clean up station and take care of leftovers
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers
- Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently as required in an open kitchen
- Any other duties as deemed suitable by the Executive Chef, Director and Supervisor
Requirements for all staff:
- Fluent in english
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Previous experience in a similar role
- A passion for food, beverage and excellent customer service with an eye for detail
