Job Description

We are looking for a new colleague for our HR team in Malta. Check out the details below and if you feel you’re up for the challenge and would like to be part of an awesome and proudly unconventional team.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update the employee records in all HR systems
  • Calculate the salaries, bonuses, deductions, overtime and on-call bonuses; insure salary reconciliation if the case (wild bonuses appear when one least expects them);
  • Process the salaries within the agreed SLAs (we are strangely fond of receiving our salaries on time and correctly);
  • Keep in touch with partners (HR & payroll consultancy companies);
  • Fill out and register the forms required by Maltese authorities: Jobplus – engagement form & termination form, IRD – preparation and submission of monthly FS5’s and yearly FS3’s and FS7’s
  • Insure a transparent and continuous communication between HR and the financial team (we do like to get them numbers right);
  • Calculate the company specific tax deductions;
  • Draft and register all employment contracts and addendums for Malta office within the local employment law specifications;
  • Draft the monthly global payroll report on a monthly basis (you’ve gotta love Excel. It should be your BFF);
  • Draw-up monthly / occasional specific personnel reports for the financial department and management (they are curious about various things);
  • Act as the HR representative during the internal and external audits with regards to payroll and admin;
  • Manage employee files, attendance reports, leaves of absence;
  • Help our colleagues with any questions and enquiries they might have regarding HR Admin and payroll (because you want to help, not because you have to).

Requirements

  • Economic studies;
  • Great knowledge of the Maltese employment legislation
  • At least 2-3 years’ experience on similar role;
  • Experience in using payroll systems;
  • Human Resources certification – nice to have;
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel;
  • Highly proficient in English;
