Job Description

To work alongside the Chef de partie in the hot section of our main kitchen, assisting in any way necessary, and taking over all his responsibilities in his absence.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Upgrade and maintain high standards of all products
  • Overall management and coordination of Section, ensuring proper organisation and discipline for productivity improvements and quality control
  • Ensure compliance with factory regulations on HACCP and health and safety
  • To work towards reaching targets set by the management.
  • Develop skills and crafts by on the job training or external training as provided by the company, in order to improve the quality and efficiency of work performed
  • Maintain good working relationships with fellow workers and superiors
  • Provide support if and when required from time to time by other sections / departments

Qualifications and experience requirements:

  • Good communication and literacy skills in the English or Maltese language
  • Food handlers’ certificate
  • At least two years of experience in a similar role and similar, fast-paced, environment
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Able to give and follow orders
  • Experience in banquet style events or similar is considered a great asset
