Job Description

To lead the hot section of our main kitchen.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Upgrade and maintain high standards of all products
  • Overall management and coordination of section, ensuring proper organisation and discipline for productivity improvements and quality control
  • Ensure compliance with factory regulations on HACCP and health and safety
  • To work towards reaching targets set by the management
  • Develop skills and crafts by on the job training or external training as provided by the company, in order to improve the quality and efficiency of work performed
  • Maintain good working relationships with fellow workers and superiors
  • Provide support if and when required from time to time by other sections / departments

Qualifications and experience requirements:

  • Good communication and literacy skills in the English or Maltese language
  • Food handlers’ certificate
  • At least two years of experience in a similar role and similar, fast-paced, environment
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Able to give and follow orders
  • Experience in banquet style events or similar is considered a great asset
