Job Description

This stylish luxury hotel, Corinthia St. George’s Bay is seeking to recruit an ambitious, determined and highly motivated individual who is seeking to embark on a career in hospitality. The Guest Relations Manager will be the first point of contact for all guests throughout their stay. The selected candidate will be responsible to establish and maintain the highest standard of guest relations. He / she will also be expected to liaise with the appropriate departments to ensure that all requests and complaints are dealt with in an efficient and effective manner. The position is accountable to the Front Office Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Guiding the Head of Departments in solving issues relating to each of their department;
  • Taking over interdepartmental duties;
  • Representing the management in handling all areas of operation in the hotel;
  • Ensuring guests receive the highest standard of service and cooperation at all times;
  • Ensuring seamless coordination with and amongst departments to meet the guests’ needs and requests;
  • Ensuring guest experience throughout their stay is delivered according to departmental standard operating procedures and guests’ expectations;
  • Ensuring guest inquiries, requests and complaints are tackled promptly through a high level of personal service at all times;
  • Informing the Front Office Manager or Senior Management of any guest complaints or operational challenges promptly;
  • Being fully aware of all tariffs, facilities, and current activities within the hotel;
  • Contacting the guests prior and after their departure to make sure maximum satisfaction;
  • Ensuring actions and follow-up on all guest queries are being seen efficiently and courteously;
  • Assisting with training and monitor performance through the established systems and acknowledge online reviews and guest questionnaires.

Entry Requirements:

  • Have an outgoing personality and smart appearance;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Fluency in Maltese, English, and another European language;
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office applications and the Opera system.
