Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated and energetic individual with a passion for digital marketing for the Corinthia St George’s Bay Peninsula and Hotel Verdi. We are looking for someone with a can-do approach, attentive to detail, customer and people-focused, and an individual who is able to distinguish and relate to different characters and situations.

The candidate will be responsible for:

  • Keeping abreast with the newest trends, concepts and innovations in the hospitality industry.
  • Ensuring the hotels’ websites are maximised to their potential and for the correct utilisation, funding and monitoring of all their activity.
  • Managing the hotels’ presence and activity across all digital platforms through creative strategies. Taking a proactive approach to managing digital campaigns by using the latest marketing tools.
  • Ensuring the hotels are embracing best practice guest technology and the development of future technological applications to provide the guest with the best possible experience.
  • Coordinating duties with the Digital Marketing Executive.
  • Establishing a good rapport with partners who will enhance, develop and add value to the hotels.
  • Developing and executing the social media strategy for the hotels’ targeting both local and international markets.
  • Maximising all marketing opportunities required for the hotels and creating and implementing a comprehensive and innovative marketing plan to drive revenue.
  • Ensuring brand integrity is kept at all times.
  • Swiftly responding to clients’ online demands.
  • Understands influencer marketing.
  • Coordinates photoshoots for the hotels and outlets
  • Develop and implement digital marketing strategies across all channels, including social media, email, SEO / SEM, display advertising, and more.
  • Analyse and report on digital marketing campaigns to identify opportunities for optimization and growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Manage and optimise marketing budgets to ensure maximum ROI.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest digital marketing trends and technologies, and bring innovative ideas to the table.

The ideal candidate must possess:

  • Have previous experience in a five-star hotel environment in a similar role.
  • Have experience in e-commerce, SEO, PPC, Email marketing and social media.
  • Have a bachelor’s degree in marketing or equivalent.
  • Possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Be fluent in Maltese and English (verbal and written).
  • Have a positive attitude and can work with minimum supervision.
  • Be highly organized, meticulous and able to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
  • Proficient with all MS Office applications.
  • Familiar with the use of WordPress, Landing Pages, and CMS platforms.
  • Basic photo and video skills for day-to-day content creation.
  • Adobe Suite, Canva and other editing tools would be an asset.
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics, AdWords, Meta Advertising and other digital marketing tools.
  • Be discrete and confidential.
  • Portray a professional image commensurate with the values of the company.
