Job Description

Due to growth in our FMCG Division, we are seeking an experienced and highly motivated professional to join our team as a Brand and Sales Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of leading FMCG brands and overseeing sales strategies, marketing development, and cross-departmental alignment. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership qualities, communication skills, and a proven track record of driving results in both brand management and sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Brand Management and Marketing:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to maximize brand awareness, sales, and profitability.
    • Manage a portfolio of leading FMCG brands including food items, confectionery, pet foods, detergents, and household products.
    • Conduct consumer research and market trend analysis to identify emerging opportunities and adapt strategies accordingly.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute integrated marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
    • Plan and execute events in alignment with promotional calendars and trade channel requirements.
    • Monitor competitor activities and industry trends to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
    • Analyse shopper behaviour and utilise insights to optimise in-store communication tools and methods.
    • Ensure consistency across all marketing channels and manage the company’s brand image.
    • Allocate and manage the marketing budget effectively, monitoring expenditures and ROI.
  • Sales Management:
    • Formulate and implement sales strategies aligned with the company’s business objectives.
    • Set sales targets and quotas for the Sales team.
    • Monitor and assess the performance of sales representatives.
    • Develop and manage strategies for generating new leads.
    • Oversee the conversion of leads into customers through the sales pipeline.
    • Maintain and build relationships with key clients and customers.
    • Address customer complaints and feedback to improve services.
    • Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching to the sales team.
    • Analyse market trends and competitor activities to adjust sales strategies based on market insights.
    • Ensure alignment between sales and marketing strategies and initiatives.
    • Utilise analytics tools to track sales and marketing performance and generate reports to inform decision-making and strategy adjustments.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in brand management, sales, or related roles within the FMCG industry.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful marketing and sales strategies that drive brand awareness and sales growth.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and consumer insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive and results-driven approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and driving collaboration across departments.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and familiarity with marketing and sales analytics tools.
  • Good command of both Maltese and English language.
