Job Description
Carlo Gavazzi Ltd. Malta is looking to recruit a dynamic and passionate individual to join our Manufacturing department in the role of Wire Bonding Technician.
Role
The main objective of the Wire Bonding Technician is to support the continuous and efficient operation of the wire bonding equipment within the production area.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure operational efficiency of the wire bonding machines and other production equipment by making interventions as required and with minimal downtime
- Collection and monitoring of KPI’s promoting continuous improvements
- Ensure that maintenance procedures and preventive maintenance plans are updated
- Plan, carry out, and log routine maintenance work
- Perform breakdown maintenance when and where required
- Ensure that any spare parts required are ordered and always in stock
- Support Process responsible in the formulation of working instructions and visual aids used during production
- Ensure optimum housekeeping – 5S
- Ensure that machinery and other equipment such as jigs, fixtures etc. are undamaged and safe to use
- Technically support other departments
- Support the Manufacturing department in personnel training
Requirements:
- Experience within an electronics environment
- A recognized qualification in Engineering
- Conversant with MS office applications
- Strong communication skills
- Team player
- Self-motivated
- Ability to work well under pressure, and on his/her own without constant supervision
- Very good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Fluency in English language both verbal and written
