Summary of Position:
The HR Specialist is fully dedicated to operations and other supportive departments within CC group, their needs and their duties. He/she will help to develop and implement better people management practices, builds a valuable relationship with internal clients and transfers requests and solutions to/from the business unit.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a single point of contact for the employees and managers within respective teams
  • Proactively supports the delivery of HR processes. Acting as a change agent by critically reviewing, proposing and driving continuous improvement techniques
  • Responsible for coordinating the recruitment process for new employees within respective teams
  • Acts as the performance improvement driver and provokes positive changes in the people management
  • Support Head of Departments in the day to day HR issues, providing HR guidance when appropriate
  • Provides day to day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counselling, career development, disciplinary actions)
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations, in constant collaboration with Head of departments
  • Participate with Head of departments in employee meetings
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation
  • Analyse trends and metrics in collaboration with other HR team members to develop solutions, programs and policies
  • Responsible for keeping the employee files of respective teams up to date with all needed info and completed forms. To keep online HR system constantly updated
  • Manage and keep up to date Training Matrix of respective teams
  • Coordinate performance dialogues across teams and manage online system
  • Assist employees in problems that may impact the work performance; provide problem assessment; ensure all employees are fully aware of company policies and procedures and ensure consistent implementation of such policies
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Assist in delivering induction training to new employees
  • Responsible to manage the process to apply for employment licenses for employees within respective teams
  • Assist other HR team members in compiling monthly payroll
  • Responsible to manage and follow up specific projects within the HR department as assigned

Experience & Education Requirements

  • MQF level 5 of education in HR or related field
  • 2 years’ experience within HR field, ideally with experience within Financial Services or IT Industry
  • Holds good knowledge of Maltese employment law

  • Proficient with hands-on experience in MS Office

  • Holds previous experience working with HR systems
