As a HR Business Partner reporting to the Regional HR Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in aligning business objectives with employees and management across Betway Group. You will act as a consultant to management on a wide range of HR-related topics. Your expertise in employee relations, organisational development, and talent management will drive business success and foster a positive working culture.

What you’ll be doing
As part of your role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with leaders to identify and execute HR strategies that support overall business objectives
  • Acting as a trusted advisor on all HR-related matters, provide insights on Organisational design, workforce planning and succession planning
  • Fostering good relationships with employees to understand workforce challenges and requirements
  • Working with Talent Acquisition to ensure Betway attracts and retains top talent
  • Developing career development plans with key employees to support growth and retention
  • Managing employee relations issues in accordance with internal policies and procedures
  • Annual revision and updating of company policies
  • Ensuring the HRIS (Workday) is always up to date
  • Organizing and maintaining personnel records, electronically
  • Managing pre-onboarding, onboarding and induction of new starters, in collaboration with our internal OD team
  • Reporting to management and providing decision support through HR metrics
  • Ensuring legal compliance throughout human resource management
  • Supporting the Regional HR Manager and other team members when requested on HR projects

Essential skills you’ll bring to the table
The necessary skills that we require for this role include:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively
  • Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams, with a focus on achieving shared goals
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring high standards of quality in all outputs
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and priorities, maintaining effectiveness in dynamic situations
  • Proven working experience as HR Business Partner or similar
  • Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases
  • In-depth knowledge of Maltese labour law and HR best practices
  • Knowledge and experience in compensation, organizational planning, recruitment, organization development, employee relations, safety, employee engagement and employee development
  • Computer literacy (MS Office applications, in particular)
  • People-oriented and results-driven approach
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company

Desirable skills you’ve got up your sleeve
It would be great if you also have some of the following skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of sports betting markets, including odds calculation, betting types and market trends
  • Previous experience in the online gaming or casino industry, with a strong understanding of player behaviour and industry regulations
  • Familiarity with gambling regulations and compliance requirements in various jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to legal standards
  • Experience in developing and executing customer retention strategies
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across the business
  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
  • Professional and commercial approach to HR
