Job Description

Since 2013, Berner Malta Ltd. has been providing speciality products for the industry in Malta. Our range of products includes tools, sealants, fasteners, safety equipment and spill protection for all areas of industry – from craftsmen to the construction, pharmaceutical and manufacturing companies.

Berner Malta Ltd. has continuously expanded in order to open up new customer groups and markets across the island. In view of this, we are currently looking for an ambitious, hardworking result-oriented Purchasing Clerk on a full-time basis. The chosen candidate must be able to work on own initiative and with excellent time management skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Placing orders with suppliers
  • Supplier pricing confirmation
  • Supplier order planning
  • Price negotiation with supplier
  • Consignment update on system
  • Liaising with suppliers with regards to shipping, order planning, pricing, credit notes, price confirmation from supplier, variation in pricing
  • Liaising with accounts department with regards to simple purchasing, new accounts, supplier payments
  • System reports, update of consignments, update pricing on system, new item code input, barcoding
  • Coordinating with the shipping department
  • Issuing of POs, quotes and order batching

Requirements:

  • Clean police conduct
  • Clean driving licence
  • Computer literate
  • Good spoken English and preferably Italian
  • Microsoft office literate (especially in Excel)

Experience in the same field will be considered an asset.
