Bank of Valletta p.l.c. is seeking to recruit a number of Portfolio Administrators within its Private Banking department and other Wealth Management functions.

Amongst other duties, the selected applicant will be responsible for

  • Assisting the Head, Advisors as well as the other team members at Private Banking, BOV Asset Management and Private Banking – Wealth Management in ensuring that all investment services processes run smoothly and efficiently;
  • Supporting the whole unit in executing their responsibilities in the due diligence, compliance, AML and AFC-related processes, maintaining customer relationships and in performing administrative duties;
  • Taking action whenever any instructions, queries or services requested do not require the intervention of an Advisor;
  • Assuring occurrence of minimal errors in order to avoid customer complaints, discrepancies or rejected items;
  • Introducing clients to the appropriate investment services through the Advisors;
  • Cooperating and liaising with other units within the Bank as the role may require.

Interested applicants must

  • As per standard requirements be in possession of a minimum of 6 O’ levels (including Maltese, English and Maths) and 1 A’ level (other Financial related MQF levels 3 and 4 equivalent or higher educational paths may be considered);
  • Possess previous experience in performing a similar role within other banking, financial or investment institutions;
  • Be knowledgeable about MFSA and Central Bank of Malta rules, as well as regulations regarding anti-money laundering, anti-financial crime, compliance and GDPR, as required by the role;
  • Be willing to continuously remain updated on areas related to investment services and market trends;
  • Be able to work under pressure whilst still proving accuracy and efficiency in the work;
  • Be highly responsible, committed and an excellent team player;
  • Be customer-centric and possess good communication skills;
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Office computer applications.
