Job Description

Bank of Valletta p.l.c. is seeking to recruit a Lead for Marketing Technology within its Data Insights and Marketing Technology department.

Overall Purpose
The Lead for Marketing Technology will be responsible for the design, launch and management of marketing technology tools. In addition to this, the jobholder together with their team is expected to design solutions that integrate all parts of the business for elevated cohesion between marketing and customer insights.

Expectations include the introduction of concepts that harness marketing opportunities from all touchpoints of the business. The Bank will be relying on the guidance of the Lead for Marketing Technology in implementing technology tools that deliver measurable and effective results for marketing purposes and customer satisfaction. This includes the introduction of tools that measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts and business performance.

Taking a key role in shaping and implementing the Bank’s digital strategy, it is expected that the Data Insights and Marketing Technology teams work hand in hand to create solutions that enhance both teams’ capabilities.

The selected applicant will be responsible for

  • Designing and owning a Marketing Technology roadmap for the Bank;
  • Engaging with stakeholders to understand and prioritise business needs;
  • Delivering tools that address marketing automation, CRM, CMS and digital analytics;
  • Working through the project feasibility and prioritisation processes in order to get projects scoped, scheduled and implemented;
  • Managing and maintaining marketing tools as an ongoing concern;
  • Participating and taking an active role in assigned projects as needed;
  • Developing, managing and leading a team of professionals to fulfil the marketing technology program and upskill where necessary.

Preference will be given to applicants with the following

  • An MQF level 6 degree in business, marketing or a related discipline;
  • Relevant experience in a marketing role leveraging marketing tools;
  • Experience in breaking down and understanding complex business problems, collaborating to define solutions, scoping and implementing;
  • Track record and practical experience in the use of marketing technology.
  • Experience within the Banking or financial services industry and exposure to the local market;
  • Highly responsible, committed and appreciates the responsibilities which the job entails
  • Willingness to remain updated continuously on areas related to the role
  • Collaborative, analytical aptitude, and willingness to learn.
  • Proven skills in customer analytics, critical thinking, collaboration, strategy, leadership, quality and time management.
