Job Description

Attrans Ltd is an international haulier for transporting and forwarding to and from Malta, Europe and North Africa. We provide weekly groupage transport, temperature-controlled transport and refrigerated transport, project and exceptional transport.

In view of the group’s expansion, a vacancy for a full-time Operations and Invoicing Executive has arisen.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure through the Import / Export Coordinator, that every shipment is documented and a file created to record manifests and other relevant information.
  • Work within company policies and procedures.
  • Receives the export files from the Traffic Coordinator and prepares all the necessary documents required to clear customs in the country of destination.
  • Responsible for creating container import shipments, coordinating with the Documentation Clerk for relevant customs clearance and communicating to Operations Coordinator where delivery is pertinent.
  • Perform client invoicing duties.
  • Assist in performing business operations duties.
  • Provide support to the Operations team as and when required.
  • Update internal operation procedures document as needed.
  • Support the Operations Coordinator in managing and resolving operational issues.
  • Work with the Operations Coordinator to provide excellent customer service.
  • Store, file and retrieve corporate documents and reports as and when needed.
  • Perform general office administrative and clerical duties.

Personal skills:

  • Experience in local trailer operations.
  • Experience in international transport.
  • Responsive to sudden changes and customer requirements.
  • Determined and flexible due to the highly dynamic environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook.

Requirements for this position:

  • A’ level standard education.
  • Time management and self-organisation skills.
  • Capable of working under pressure.
  • Customer care skills.
  • Capable to work as part of a team.
  • IT knowledge.
  • Good communication in Maltese, English language and preferably even Italian.

Previous experience in basic accounts and logistics knowledge will be considered an asset.
