Accounts Clerk

Job Description

Main Responsibilities include;

  • Updating of purchasing ledgers;
  • Updating of sales ledgers;
  • Post any stock adjustments, requisitions or other accounting documents to appropriate ledgers;
  • Carry out bank reconciliations;
  • Assign expenses to appropriate cost centres including coding and checking of approved invoices;
  • Assist in the analysis of accounts as required;
  • Carry out stock take and reconciliations in the various sections;
  • Issue payments to suppliers;
  • Generation and distribution of periodic statements of accounts;
  • Chasing payments regularly;
  • Assisting in ad-hoc tasks assigned by Accountant when requested.

The selected candidate will:

  • Have at least an A’ level qualification in accounts;
  • Have good communication and organisational skills;
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Excel;
  • Be ready to work flexibly in a team;
  • Experience would be considered an asset.
